Google Takeout is a convenient tool that allows you to easily move your files from your shared drive to your personal non-SSIS Google Drive. With just a few clicks, you can select the files you want to transfer, customize your export settings, and seamlessly move your data to your personal space.
1. Access Google Takeout
Sign in to your school email account and go to www.takeout.google.com.
2. Choose Your Data
Select the data you want to export. You can choose specific types of data (Google Drive, Google Photos, etc.) or select all.
Click on 'Next step' button to continue the process.
3. Select Export Options and Settings
Decide how you want to export your data.
If you choose 'Send download link via email' Google Takeout will email you a link to download your data.
If you choose 'Add to Drive' Google Takeout will add a download link to your Google Drive.
Adjust the export settings to fit your preferences. You can select the export frequency, file type, and size, or stick with the default options.
4. Start the Export Process
Click on the "Create export" button and wait for the export process to finish. This may take some time depending on the amount of data.
5. Check Your Email for Notification
Once the export is complete, you'll receive a notification in your mailbox. This email will contain the link to download your data.
6. Download Your Data to Your Personal Computer
Open the email containing the download link and click on the link to download your data to your personal computer. Once downloaded, you can also choose to upload the folder to your personal drive if desired.
