First Grade Me!

Welcome!

Hello! My name is Leah Johnson and I am a first grade teacher here at Bonner Elementary!

I absolutely LOVE teaching first grade! Watching students be more independent and responsible for their own education is so rewarding! First grade is also when we really dive into reading and is such a magical process! My favorite subjects to teach are social emotional learning and reading!

Some of the things I love to do when I'm not in the classroom are reading, being outdoors, spending time with my husband, cuddling with my dog, and crafting!

Classroom Philosophy and Expectations

I believe that the education system has the power to help children to be well rounded individuals and life long learners. Each child has unique learning needs and contributes something special to the learning environment. I strongly believe that it takes a community to help children thrive and reach their full potential. I cant wait to partner with you and become apart of your child's community as they grow in first grade.

At Bonner Elementary we use the acronym ROAR to teach students to Respect Others and Act Responsibly.
