Hello and Welcome to Mrs. Johnson's Page!
I have had the privilege of working in the Stewartville School District for 10+ years. I began working as a kindergarten paraprofessional for 1 year, then taught kindergarten for 8 years and now I am beginning my 6th year of teaching first grade. I have enjoyed working in such a positive and progressive community. I look forward to another wonderful year ahead!

Each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which to grow. Students learn best in an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking and invites the sharing of ideas. Parents and teachers must work together to support the growth of the child.
At Bonner Elementary, we use the acronym ROAR to teach students to Respect Others & Act Responsibly. Rules within the classroom include:
1. listen and follow directions
2. respect and help others
3. keep hands, feet & objects to yourself
4. always give your best effort in learning
Classroom expectations include:
returning homework (phonics, math, reading logs and word cans)
following classroom rules
