Attention Seniors

  • Cap and Gown information has been mailed home from the Student Services Company. Order online at Please have your height and weight available when ordering.
  • During homeroom on Monday March 20th the 2017 Senior Class picture will be taken in the Blue Gym. Students should wear their SENIOR t-shirts in either black or white. Students who have not picked up, but have purchased their senior t-shirt can pick it up from Mrs. Clementi in Room 277. Students who did not purchase a senior t-shirt are invited to wear a black or white t-shirt to fit the theme for the picture. Med-Tech and Vo-Tech students are invited to remain after the senior class picture to pose for Med-Tech and Vo-Tech pictures for the yearbook.
  • Many Colleges require 1st Semester grades. Please notify the guidance office if you need your grades sent.

Important Attendance Reminders

  • All absences and late arrivals must be called in to the attendance hotline, 610-938-6110, each day your child is absent or late. A written note is required and must be submitted within 3 days after return from an absence or the absence is unexcused. Every late arrival to school will be unexcused unless an acceptable excuse note is received. In addition, all early dismissals require a written note from a parent/guardian. Please see the Student Handbook for all Student Attendance Policies regarding excessive lateness to school and absences over 10 days.

SHS Master Plan Update Meeting

  • SSD has set a date for a Springfield High School Master Plan update meeting on Tuesday, March 28, 7:00 PM at Spingfield High School (*Please note the change in location*)

2017 Student Council Elections

Students who are interested in running for Class Officer (up to 5 positions/grade) or Student Council Executive Board must attend an interest meeting in room 153 after school on March 28th or March 29th in order to pick up a self-nomination form; YOU MUST ATTEND A MEETING TO BE ELIGIBLE TO RUN FOR OFFICE; if you are not able to attend a meeting due to a prior commitment, please contact Mr. Nelson in room 153

Self-nomination forms must be completed and returned to 153 by April 3rd . Candidates will be expected to compose and deliver a speech (no longer than one minute for class representatives/officer and 2 minutes for Executive Board) which will be recorded by April 7th and broadcast to the school during the homerooms on April 18th and 19th with the election on April 20th.

The high school newspaper The Spri-Hian is always looking for Springfield High School students who are interested in journalism and writing stories for our publication. We have regular bakes sales outside of lunch to fund our last color issue which features a center spread of where our graduating seniors are attending college in the fall. Please see Nicole DiMauro or Jon Abraham if you have any questions or stop by Mr. Cianfrani's room in 281.

Post Prom Information

  • Please submit your $80 Post Prom/Post commencement fee by Friday, March 24th. After this date, the fee will be raised to $100
  • Volunteers are still needed for the Decorating Committee. We meet in the cafeteria Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings beginning at 7:00 PM. No special artistic ability is required. Please contact Joanne DeCaria at with any questions
  • Lawn sign orders are due by April 1st. The attached order form is also available in the main office and on the Post Prom website under important forms

The Junior Prom will be held Friday,April 21, 2017 at the Drexelbrook.

Tickets will be sold before and after school in room 106 from Wednesday March 29th to Wednesday April 5th. Prices are $60/single and $110/couple.

Every student attending will need a signed permission slip, and all fees and fines must be paid before purchasing a ticket

This information will be available starting Monday March 20th outside of room 150.

Summer Employment Applications will be accepted March 20th through April 21st. They are available in the SHS main office and the District Office.

Two week trip to Germany - June 17, 2017 (Saturday) - July 3, 2017 (Monday)

There are only FIVE spots left for this summer’s two week trip to Germany. The cost of the trip is $2,000.

Any SHS student, regardless of the language studied, can participate on the trip.

Enrollment is now opened for the 2018 Spring Break Trip.

Any SHS student, regardless of the language studied, has the opportunity to explore France, Germany and Italy.
