About Me

My name is Mr. King. I was born and raised in the small the town of Oil City, PA. I graduated from Lock Haven University with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education and I have a minor in Aquatics. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Education with a Technology concentration from Clarion University. I am a strong advocate for the importance of health and physical education in young people's lives. I want my students to learn that exercise IS FUN!! Being active and competitive while having fun has always been a huge part of my life. I have a passion for aquatics and have spent many years managing, coaching, and teaching a variety of water activities. This is my second year of teaching at Springfield School District. I also have six years of experience as a Physical Education teacher in Center City Philadelphia and I worked two years as an Adjunct Instructor for the Department of Kinesiology at Temple University, instructing aquatic classes.

My personal interests include being outdoors, hunting, fishing, going to the pool, watching all Pittsburgh sports teams, and spending time with my family.

I am very excited to work with parents, students, and the community in the partnership of creating a healthy future for our youth. I am happy to be at the SLC!
