This month, we are highlighting Joanna Farache from Valley Park Elementary in the Valley Park School District. 

Joanna joined the Valley Park School District three years ago and secured her position with her passion for all things AAC. Prior to joining Valley Park, she served in Hazelwood. And before becoming a Speech/Language Pathologist, Joanna had a career in video production.

Joanna was nominated by her coworker Susan Sears who wrote: Joanna constantly strives to make students heard and known through her innovative ways of building communication. Joanna has been a leader in Natural Language Acquisition and has a  gestalt language video project featuring her students.
