This month, we are highlighting Becky Yust from Cross Keys Middle School in the Ferguson Florissant School District. 

Megan was nominated by her coworker who said this about her, “Ms. Yust encourages her students to use their AAC device every day to provide a "voice" and enable full self-expression. She focuses on modeling, consistency over perfection, and incorporating personal interests to build genuine communication.”

She continued to mention that “Ms.Yust doesn’t just teach her students how to use a device, she teaches them that their voice matters. She encourages her students to express their feelings, not just needs. She is teaching true communication. Her dedication to modeling AAC in daily activities shows how much she truly cares about empowering her students to use their voice.”
