The Communication Bill of Rights breaks down communication into a list of specific skills and rights. It serves as a guidepost for professionals, families and others in an AAC user’s support network. This list highlights all the amazing aspects of communication and connection that ALL people deserve to experience. This interactive site by NWACS presents a nice overview then explores each of the 15 rights separately.

In order to accurately document our services on your student IEPs, please add your AT/AAC facilitators as providers BY NAME under Supports for School Personnel on the IEP. Only the facilitator name should go in this space, not SLP, OT, etc.

This month we're sharing an article published recently by LSHSS that outlines the importance of a multimodal approach to communication with autistic students, regardless of their ability to use spoken language. Here you'll also find an article with an overview and recommendations re: AAC for speaking adults with autism.
