Awarded to two students who demonstrate excellence in creative writing.
Awards are presented to the male/female junior/senior students of the year. These students will have consistently shown sportsmanship, leadership, demonstrated mastery of the sport and have consistently placed the needs of the team above their own needs.
Awarded to the student who has demonstrated leadership in the school int the area of clubs, sports student leadership etc.
Awarded to a Sr. High student who exemplifies the qualities of life modelled by Lawrie Hobart: leadership, commitment, dedication, organization, sense of humour, strong work ethic. interpersonal skills, willing to help others and is a role model to others.
Presented to the students (1 per grade) who best exemplifies the goals of the SSDEC Literacy initiative: love of books, participation in reading challenges and progress in Language Arts.
Presented to one male and one female PWK student with high attendance and who help out with after school sporting activities/tournaments.
For each course that a student received a mark of 80% or higher their name will be entered in to a draw for $300.
For each sport, club or activity that a student participated in their name will be entered in to a draw for $200.

Open to graduates of PWK who have demonstrated academic or athletic merit and who plan to continue their studies at an institution of higher learning. Application is made to the ft. Smith DEA and must include evidence of academic or athletic merit, as well as a submission from the graduate as to why they should be considered.
Awarded to two graduates who have demonstrated: the pursuit of excellence, good motivation, strong work ethic and high academic standing. Priority is given to students entering engineering, science, social science or commerce. Applicants must include a letter/essay indicating why they are deserving of the award and include a letter of support (from a PWK staff or community member).
Awarded annually to the PWK graduate who achieves the highest overall weighted average in their grade 11 & 12 courses.
