Welcome to Room 14!

My name is Mrs. Gormican. This is my ninth year teaching at Rio Seco. You may recognize me from the kindergarten team. I am excited to be in third grade this year! My partner, Mrs. Buntin, and I are looking forward to having you in our class. Mrs. Buntin will be teaching Mondays and Tuesdays, and I will be teaching Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Here is a little bit more about me. I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I have a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Anthropology from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in Teaching Elementary Education. I moved to San Diego 10 years ago and love it here!

My husband and I live in Bonita with our two children. Our daughter Indy is 3½ and our son Lincoln is 18 months. We love spending time outdoors going to the beach or out on our boat. We also like cooking, going to the zoo and spending time with our family and friends. I enjoy reading and gardening in my spare time, although I don’t have a lot of spare time these days! 

It is going to be a great year of learning in Room 14!
