Welcome to Room 19!

I am so excited to be your child’s fifth grade teacher this year! This is my fifth year teaching at Rio Seco and I am thrilled to be able to provide your child with a rigorous and engaging fifth grade experience. In the past I have taught first grade, second grade, third grade, and a 5th/6th grade combo class.

I attended school at SDSU where I received my Bachelors Degree in Anthropology. I then continued on to obtain my Masters Degree in Education and Inspired Learning and my teaching credential. My favorite part of teaching is creating a cohesive and positive classroom community where all students feel included and supported to succeed.

My husband and I live here in Santee with our two sons, Cai and Eli. Cai is entering his freshman year at Santana High School and Eli is in 6th grade here at Rio Seco. We also have two giant, goofy dogs named Mac and Gus. In our free time we love to go camping in our trailer, ride our mountain bikes, go to the beach, and play soccer.

This year will be filled with a lot of fun, challenges, and growth. I will always do my best to ensure that your child feels safe, supported, engaged, and successful!
