Cheer

Cheerleaders practice during 4th period which is from 10:17-11:02am Monday-Friday. Cheerleaders gym usage times are Monday evening from 5-8pm, Tuesday mornings from 6-7:30am, and Thursday morning 6-7:30am. Currently, cheerleaders will be practicing on Monday evenings during the months of September and October. Morning practices will only be called in an as needed situation. Extra practices will subside once football season ends.

The UIL Spirit Competition is January 12-14, 2023 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Our cheerleaders may also compete in other competitions as well prior to UIL.

S&S Cheerleaders provide spirit to varsity and junior varsity football, girls volleyball, home cross country meet, home basketball games and tournaments along with community events. If you would like cheerleaders at a community event, then please correspond with Coach Ringger via email tiffany.ringger@sscisd.net . 

Tryouts will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 after school. Squads will be posted on Friday, March 3rd at 4pm via the S&S CISD's Facebook page. A parent meeting will be held in February 2023 one month prior to tryouts. Uniform fittings occur the last week of March. All S&S High School cheerleaders are required to attend a designated summer camp. Dates for spring workouts and summer camp will be announced at the February parent meeting.
