Q: Can I turn in late homework for credit?
A: Yes! You can turn in work for late credit. To do this, complete the assignment and have a parent/guardian sign your binder reminder where I marked the missing assignment. Either turn it in to the late bin or show Mrs. Nice during class.
Q: I've been absent. How can I make up my assignments?
A: If you miss work because of an excused absence, you will be given the opportunity to complete all assignments and tests.
- Check the digital binder reminder (located on this website and posted on Google Classroom) and the absence folder (in class) to see what you missed and get any papers you need. It is your responsibility to get caught up.
- If you need to speak with Mrs. Nice about your absence or turn something in, do it during AP (Tues + Thurs), after school (any day), or during starters (any day).
- All work must be submitted in person. This includes computer/digital assignments (like Google Classroom work).
- Work you were assigned before you were absent is due the day you return. It will be considered late if you forget to turn it in on time.
- Any work assigned while you were absent must be made up and turned in within the same number of days of your absence (ex: Absent 3 days? You have 3 days to make up and turn in the work that was assigned while you were absent).
- Make up missed tests and quizzes within one week of your absence.
- If you have been absent for more than a couple days, speak with Mrs. Nice about creating a manageable make up schedule. Don’t stress! We’ll figure it out together!
- It is strongly suggested that you attend the next available Academic Prep period (AP) to review missed work.
- The assignments and tests will be reasonably equivalent to, but not necessarily identical to, the assignments and tests missed during the absence.
Q: Do I have to fill out my binder reminder?
A: Yes! It is considered a class assignment. There may be surprise checks to make sure it is filled out, and you could lose credit if it's not.
