I hope you are well in this beautiful weather.
Friday, November 19th is our optional annual Field Trip day to San Francisco JapanTown. In the past, students loved walking around the Japan Town mall, window shopping or buying food, drink, souvenirs, books, etc. Students have been taking the Japanese language study seriously, so this is a great opportunity for them to let it loose right before the Thanksgiving holiday week. I hope you and your student can join us on our day trip to SF. The 5th period students who want to stay at Monte Vista will be provided with a substitute teacher, and will study cultural materials on that day.
Permission slip and Code of Conduct Agreement Form are attached to this letter for you and students to sign. We are looking for up to 6 volunteer adult chaperones, depending on the number of participating students. Chaperones also need to make a payment for the field trip, and make sure to be cleared in the volunteer system. Please see more information below. I look forward to a joyous day in SF with you!

SRVUSD has a district wide system for all adults who wish to volunteer on a school campus or drive/chaperone day and overnight field trips and athletic events. This new Volunteer Management System features a web-based software application that allows the District and all schools to better track and provide the appropriate level of clearance for school volunteers.
