Southern Regional Model Congress and Model UN is an organization that that has been in existence since the 1980's.
Southern Regional Model Congress and Model UN is an organization that that has been in existence since the 1980's.
What this organization does is that it allows the students to act as members of Congress or the United Nations, depending on the event that they are participating in. The students write bills/legislation or resolutions which they then try to get passed within their committees, just as would happen in either of the actual governing bodies.

This is always a good experience for the students as well as a confidence builder for public speaking and debate skills.

We will be working hard with fundraisers this year to try optimize all the opportunities that we can participate in. We are currently looking for events to participate in for the 2025-2026 school year.

Our next possible destinations are the Ivy League United Nations Conference in January of 2026 (ILMUNC) or the University of Pennsylvania Model Congress in April of 2026 (PENNMC)!
