Policy Document of I&EDP Cell
The I&EDP Cell is established to promote innovations and entrepreneurship activities in the institute and encourage students in establishing their own businesses.
The policy document of I&EDP is proposed as follows:
Outcomes:
· Able to have their own livelihood and also create opportunities for others.
· Improve the culture of interacting with the successful entrepreneurs and gain knowledge to implement and practice in their own organization.
· Assist in establishing their own units by students.
The I&EDP Cell will provide the following assistance in establishing new units:
· The student has to come with innovative ideas and present the concept before the committee for the acceptance of the proposal.
· The committee consisting of following members Principal, Management representative, Head of concerned Department (Based on the proposed project), Industrialist from the respective area and Convener of I&EDP Cell will evaluate all the proposals.
· The committee will evaluate the proposals and provide valuable suggestions for further improvements.
a) Assistance provided by the institute:
If any proposal is recommended by the committee the institution will provide the following assistance to the students.
1. Technical assistance from the faculty.
2. Permission to avail all laboratory facilities.
3. Recommends for financial assistance from 50,000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/- as seed money from management.
4. Provided assistance in getting permissions from various Government organizations.
5. Assist in funding the project through banks and other financial institutions.
6. Assistance marketing the product through reputed organizations.
7. Assistance in applying and getting the eligible subsidies from different organizations.
b) Training
Depending on their innovative ideas and promotion of their product, internal and external training services will be arranged.
1. Arrange workshops/seminars to give more awareness and exposure on the related field of interest.
2. Encourage them to attend related training programmes by giving financial assistance.
