Our STEM Coaches teach quarterly STEM courses and throughout the year have the opportunity to provide STEM instruction to all students grades 7-8. Additionally, when not providing direct instruction to students, our STEM Coaches work with the district Robotics platform and a guiding coalition to provide STEM opportunities to other subject areas. All certified staff members incorporate STEM instruction on a regular basis. Our STEM Coaches have received PLTW training and incorporate this learning in daily lessons. Additionally, our district has provided various opportunities for instructional staff to receive professional development on STEM activities so that our staff can transform the way learning is happening in our district and meet the requirements to become a STEM Certified school district within the timeline established by the IDOE.
