TRAINEE/ASSOCIATE PROGRAM
Our Wellness Program offers a dynamic clinical training experience for Trainees and Associate Marriage & Family Therapists (MFTs), Associate Social Workers (ASWs) and Professional Clinical Counseling Interns (PCCI), seeking hands-on practice in school-based and community mental health. Under the guidance of licensed clinical supervisors, participants provide direct counseling services, facilitate groups, and engage in multidisciplinary care coordination. Training includes ongoing professional development in trauma-informed care, equity-focused practices, and culturally responsive approaches to support youth and families. This program prepares emerging clinicians to deliver compassionate, evidence-based mental health services while building the skills and confidence needed for licensure. We accept letters of interest and resumes starting in January--number of positions/openings and pay are continent upon district funding, however as of 2025/26, trainee and associate positions are paid via monthly stipend. Open trainee/associate positions will be posted on Edjoin.org and/or Frontline. Please contact BOTH Nicole Janson (njanson@srcs.org) and Judy Schwerin (jschwerin@srcs.org) for more information.Check out our associate/trainee teams below, as they participate in "front of the [therapeutic] chair" work @ SRCS Wellness!
