Citation

In an academic paper, two different types of citation are necessary:

1) Parenthetical Citation (also known as in-text citation)

2) A Works Cited page as it's own page at the end of the essay, using the same citations from the annotated bibliography.

The citations that appear on the Works Cited are only the citation itself, no other info from the Annotated Bibliography will appear on the Works Cited. It is like a Bibliography.

This Powtoon explains how to properly provide parenthetical citation in an essay.

On their website, the Purdue Owl explains the proper use of MLA parenthetical citation.

2. Works Cited Page

Your Works Cited should follow the same citations as appeared on the Annotated Bibliography.  Remember to include the citations only.
