Thirty lucky singers went to the Chase Center in San Francisco where we sang the National Anthem to a full house (over 18,000 people) right before tip off. The entire experience was wonderful! Thank you to the SRHS Foundation and the SRHS Choral Music Boosters for financially supporting this exciting field trip.
On Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, 47 singers and 10 parent chaperones set off to visit 4 Elementary Schools, surprise our teachers at SRHS at lunch time, and perform for over 500 people despite the bomb cyclone of rain. A fun day was had and we spread the joy of music to Hidden Valley, Proctor Terrace, Steele Lane and Helen Lehman Elementary Schools.
On Saturday, April 27, 2024, the Concert Choir WON Best overall High School Mixed Voice Choir of the day at Music In the Parks in Vallejo. We received a score of 95/100 and a rating of SUPERIOR. Student accompanist, Julian O'Malley, won an award for BEST student accompanist of the day.

WHY? A Music In The Parks festival provides a safe, fun, and educational end-of-the-year experience for school bands, orchestras and choirs. Experienced instrumental and vocal teachers will offer suggestions on how to improve your ensemble's performance. Our master teachers evaluate hundreds of ensembles throughout the course of a festival season.
A festival performance increases your music program's visibility by representing your school at a national event. Ensembles from all over the United States and Canada participate in Music In The Parks. Your school and hometown will be announced at the awards ceremony! Every performing group receives a trophy at Music in the Parks.
HOW? A donation of $120 will cover the cost of the field trip for one student. If paying this price is a hardship, please reach out to Mrs. Tusa for financial assistance through the SRHS Choral Music Boosters.
