Dual Enrollment is a joint effort between Santa Rosa City Schools and Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) to prepare students for post-secondary success before they graduate from high school. Students in 9th grade and above are eligible to take advantage of this opportunity. Students – both on and off track – will achieve academic and career success when provided with an on-ramp to post-secondary education that is connected to real jobs. Some benefits to participating in this program are:
Save Money! Tuition is free and many textbooks are available from the SRJC library
Enter college with credit already accumulated
Earn High School and college credit at the same time (3 college units = 10 high school credits)
Explore career areas
Looks great on college applications!
Bump in GPA for grades of C or higher
Most courses are UC and/or CSU transferrable
Most courses can be applied towards a certificate programs
