To access the library catalogue we use Oliver. You can search Oliver to locate books in the library. It lists the number of the items, whether they are in the library or out on loan, and their call number (https://nac.softlinkhosting.com.au/oliver/home/browse/list).
Following are three videos to introduce you to the basic functions of logging in and searching, the third video introduces advanced search functions.

There is an app available for Oliver which facilitates access on mobile devices. The app is called Library Link. By using the Library Link app on a mobile device you can receive messages, see what loans you currently have and search the library catalogue. To set up the mobile app you will need your mobile device and a laptop or desktop.
1. Go to Google Play or the Apple App Store and search for "Library Link" (Softlink International); download the app and follow these steps:
2. Open the app on your mobile device and click "Setup"
3. Click "Scan Setup Code" in the app
4. Using your laptop, open the Oliver library catalogue and click "Login"
5. Click on your name and then "My details"
6. Click "Library Link Setup"
7. Pick up your phone and hold the QR code scanner over the QR code that can be seen on your laptop
In the nonfiction section of the library, books are divided into subject areas, eg. all the cook books are together in 641.5. This whole classifying and numbering by subject area is called the Dewey Decimal System. Most simply the categories are:
1 Class 000 – Computer science, information & general works
2 Class 100 – Philosophy & psychology
3 Class 200 – Religion
4 Class 300 – Social sciences
5 Class 400 – Language
6 Class 500 – Science
7 Class 600 – Technology
8 Class 700 – Arts & recreation
9 Class 800 – Literature
10 Class 900 – History & geography
