Purpose
SEA’s High Performance Team (HPT) System provides top-level squash training and competitive opportunities for high potential squash players in the SEA network. The HPT brings together 24 of the best juniors across the SEA network of 2,000+ students to train under the guidance of experienced squash coaches, including current and former US Squash National Junior Coaches. Excellence in squash brings meaningful life benefits -- in health, travel, college, career, and more – and the HPT helps ensure that the most promising SEA players have the resources needed to enjoy those benefits.

Selection Criteria
High Performance Team members will be determined based on these criteria:
Top finisher in the U13, U15, and U17 divisions from SEA Individual Nationals automatically qualify into the HPT Program (Six Spots)
The next 18 spots in the HPT will be discretionary coach selections based on:
US Squash Rating
Exposures (minimum number of tournaments played = 4)
Ranking
Video Submission
Participation Benefits
3 two-day regional squads (Sat/Sun)
Post-squad player development plans
Monthly rating and ranking progression
$1,000 in private lesson reimbursements (reimbursable monthly between Sept and March)
Coaching and supervision at Silver and Bronze National Championships (March 20-22)
Coaching at US Junior Open (December 20-23)
HPT members are expected to attend the three squads in their region as well as SEA Summer Academy. Squad dates are as follows:
East Coast - November 1-2, December 13-14, January 24-25
Midwest - October 25-26, December 13-14, January 24-25
West - November 1-2, December 13-14, January 24-25
Throughout the year, HPT members are expected to play in at least five US Squash ranking points-based tournaments where one of those is the US Junior Silver and Bronze Championships. There will be at least one SEA HPT coach at US Junior Silver and Bronze Championships. SEA will pay for lodging, food, travel, coaching, and supervision at the tournament.
HPT Members must compete in four US Squash points-based events prior to February 28th to be eligible to attend Silver/Bronze Nationals
For the 2025-2026 year, HPT members are allocated $1,000 for private lessons between September and March (7 months). Member programs will be reimbursed $142.85 per month. Please fill out the SEA HPT Private Lessons Form in order to get started. At the end of each month, member programs will have to fill in the Private Lessons tracker with the dates of the students private lessons. Students are expected to take two lessons per month.
Team members are expected to sign and adhere to the HPT code of conduct. In the event that a player is unable to adhere to the HPT code of conduct, they may be removed from the HPT at the discretion of the member program, SEA, or the student’s family.
