Welcome to the website for Arlington High School's division of the National Honor Society!

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Not just a recognization, NHS members work together to create additional service opportunities to positively impact their immediate community.

The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) officially established NHS in 1921.

Information for Students

After grades are finalized in June (~2 weeks after school ends), rising junior and senior students that are academically eligible to become members of the Arlington NHS (cumulative GPA at or above 3.5 unweighted or 4.2 weighted) will receive an email inviting them to complete a survey to give the Faculty Committee additional information about their service experience, leadership experience, and to provide a character reference. The survey is due in mid-September, and students will be notified later in the fall of admission decisions.
