🎉 SPX NEUMANN SCHOLAR NEWS
This morning excitement and anticipation filled the air of the St. Pius X School auditorium as our principal, Sr. Kate joined our middle school faculty and students for the 2025 Virtual Neumann Scholarship Award Announcement! Prior to the announcement the Connelly Foundation representative reminded us of the rigorous requirements necessary to be considered for this prestigious award.
1. Achieve a National Percentile Rank in the 90th percentile OR CSI (Cognitive Skills Index) of 120 on the Terra Nova standardized test.
2. Achieve a final general average of 92.0 in 7th grade.
This year approximately 500 students from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia met these requirements and qualified to take this scholarship test. From that elite group, 52 students received the honor of being named Neumann Scholar. Our SPX auditorium
erupted with cheers when three of our eighth graders were announced as Neumann Scholarship Winners! Recipients of this prestigious scholarship receive a four year tuition award for any Archdiocesan high school.
🎉 Congratulations to our SPX EIGHTH GRADERS:
Timothy Baillie, Zachary Fellman, and Jenna Scorsone!!!
The good news doesn’t end there!Â
A big congratulations to Timothy Baillie who obtained THE TOP TEST SCORE among all the students who took the Neumann Scholarship Test.
Sr. Kate ended our gathering with a huge congratulations to our Neumann Scholars and all our eighth grade students for their hard work, leadership, and academic excellence.
Congratulations SPX Class of 2025! All of you continue to make us Pius Proud!
