Course Description:

This class will consist of individual workouts and activities, large and small group virtual meetings, virtual team activities, and online sport specific education and exploration.

The objectives of this course are to introduce students to a variety of Physical Education Activities.

  • Students will be fitness tested at the start and conclusion of the course to assess their levels of fitness, set goals, create a program, and evaluate the success/change over time of the program.

  • As one of the common assessments for Physical Education I, students will complete a fitness report to go along with the testing, goals, and plan as part of their final exam.

  • Students will be encouraged to practice motor skill in this online class that include: kicking, throwing, striking, and sticking with an implement.

  • As always they will work on their personal and social interactions as part of their Habits of Work and 21st Century Skills.

  • A major emphasis in this class is developing a physically active lifestyle - in order to achieve total health and wellness while also helping to increase the students immune systems.

Grading: Class Breakdown is as follows:

  • Daily Physical Activity: 40%

  • Fitness Program, include Testing/Goals/Program/Summary: 20%

  • Online Sport Specific Education and Exploration: 20%

  • 21st Century Skills: Personal & Social Interactions, Virtual Team Meetings: 20%
