About Ms. Hellier

Like many of you, I grew up in South Portland. However, I went to Memorial Middle School instead of Mahoney!

I graduated from Cheverus High School in 2012, and then went to Lasell College in Newton, MA. I graduated from Lasell in 2016. While in college, I played Lacrosse.

After graduating from college, I traveled to Italy to be an au pair for a family in Milan. It was during my time in Italy that I decided to pursue a career in education.

When I am not in school, most of my time is spent outside, either in the ocean, on the ocean, or in the mountains.

My favorite activities include alpine and nordic skiing, surfing, hiking, camping, fishing, and exploring the islands of Casco Bay.

I also really enjoy cooking and baking; my pumpkin roll is somewhat legendary amongst our family and friends.

I live in South Portland with my partner, Peter (see photo above). He is a lobsterman in Cape Elizabeth, which is pretty neat!

My undergraduate degree from Lasell was in Fashion Design and Production (you would be surprised by how much math is involved here). I still make a lot of my own clothing!
