The Wiscasset Waterville & Farmington was formed in 1895 & ran between Wiscasset to Albion with a branch to Winslow from Weeks Mills. The railroad connected with the Maine central at Wiscasset & had plans to have the Winslow branch built to Farmington & connect with the gigantic Sandy River & Rangeley . The railroad had 9 locomotives in its life & only one survives.
This engine is a 1902 product from H.K. porter locomotive works it was built with a steel cab but after the masons wreck when it jumped the rails a took down a bridge on top of it self it got replaced with a wooden one.
