Task Analysis

Task analyses can be used to develop social, academic, vocational, self-care, behavioral, leisure, or communication skills by breaking down a skill into smaller components and systematically teaching each step. Using reinforcement and prompting, students can learn complex skills in a highly individualized manner. I like to combine task analyses with visual supports and video modeling in order to enhance skill acquisition.
