I am the Behavior Analyst for Springfield School District 186 in Springfield, Illinois. My journey here started when I was an undergraduate student studying education. During that time, I worked as an in-home therapist using discrete trial instruction for a student with autism and fell in love with the field. I completed my B.S. in Special Education at Illinois State University and worked as a special education teacher for 8 years before I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and made the leap to clinical work. My clinical experiences include behavior analytic consultation in residential, day program, and public school settings as well as outpatient Applied Behavior Analysis therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. In Fall 2019, I found my way back to the school setting when I accepted my current position and am thrilled to provide support to the students and educators in District 186.
