Screening

After assessing our screening process, the Springville Talented and Gifted Program has decided to simplify our practices.

Screening will take place at the end of second grade, the end of sixth grade, and the end of eighth grade. Current TAG students will be tested at those times as well, along with every student who could potentially be a candidate. Exceptions to the testing schedule will be made for students who have just moved to the district.

Traditional Talented and Gifted(TAG):

1 or more CogAT score(s) at or above 96 NPR AND 1 or more ISASP/MAP score(s) at or above 96 NPR (in Reading or Math)

OR

5 or more scores from ISASP (in Reading or Math), MAP (in Reading or Math), or CogAT at or above 90 NPR.
