Portfolio Collection Guidelines

PORTFOLIOS MUST INCLUDE:

              TK/Kindergarten-8th grade:   

• •    Language Arts (grammar, writing, spelling, etc)

  •    Math

  •    History/Social Studies

  •    Science

  •    Electives: Life Skills/Special Interest

High School students, I need a sample from EACH COURSE!

GUIDELINES

Please follow the guidelines below to ensure that all of your samples are appropriate.  This will help me in organizing and completing your child’s portfolio. 

·      NO religious material – please check for any religious words that would suggest it came from a religious vendor.  (Don't cut out, white out, etc.)  A good alternative is to have the student rewrite the learning on  another piece of paper.

·      Please make sure the student’s name is on the sample.

·      Please DATE each sample. (& make sure the date is a SCHOOL DAY in the correct LP (see above).

·      Please GRADE each sample.  A check mark, star or sticker is fine for K-8 students.  High school samples NEED a letter grade, please.

·      All samples are now uploaded electronically in Canvas in my Canvas Homeroom. 

A portfolio is a great opportunity for your student to show off his or her best work.  Make it an activity for your student to choose what they are most proud of, or help them to produce something that will show off what they have learned or how they have improved.
