DRILL AND CEREMONY
The Color Guard team consists of four cadets, two rifles and two flags, that practice and compete according to TC 3-21.5 with pride, courage, and dignity. Color guard positions are US flag, Texas flag, US guard, and Texas guard. The Color Guard commander holds the US flag. The Color Guard presents the colors at football games, meetings, and other events. Competing in 2 Color Guard competitions awards the cadet with the Color Guard cord.
The Drill team is an unarmed drill team that competes accordingly to TC 3-21.5 with pride and order. The Drill team are experts on the 23 drill movements and marching. Competing in 2 Drill competitions awards cadets with the Drill Team cord.
JLAB (ACADEMIC & LEADERSHIP
The Academic team and Leadership Team consists of 4 primary members and 2 alternates (Seniors are not allowed), who compete in the JLAB Academic Bowl. Cadets have the opportunity to go to Washington for championships and can be awarded the Academic cord if cadets competed in 2 Academic competitions.
PHYSICAL TRAINING
The PT (Physical Training) team consists of 12 athletic students who compete in PT competitions. The competition includes events such as pushups, situps, pullups, and a mile run (or 400m relay race).
HONOR GUARD
The Honor Guard team consists of a minimum of 8 cadets. The Honor Guard are determined cadet leaders. The team presents sabers at important events such as weddings, military ball, etc.
