Director of Bands
Mr. Cam Simpson serves as the Director of Bands at Twin Creeks Middle School and has been teaching in Spring ISD since 2017. During his career, Mr. Simpson has served as a Percussion Consultant, Assistant Director of Bands, Fine Arts Department Chair and Director of Bands.
Mr. Simpson is passionate about developing students into outstanding musicians and leaders through a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork. He is committed to building strong relationships with students, families, and the community while fostering an environment where every student can achieve success.
Under his leaderhsip, ensembles have consistently earned UIL Superior Ratings and national recongition. The Bammel Middle Sschool Band was named a Mark of Excellence National Winner in both 2020 and 2021. Most recently the Bailey Middle School Percussion Ensemble was selected as the 2025 Mark of Excellence National Winner and invited to perform at the 2026 Music for All National Festival. In 2025, the Bailey Percussion Ensemble also earned 1st Place at the Houston Percussive Arts Society Percussion Festival.
Mr. Simpson earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Houston and a Master of Education in School Leadership from Sam Houston State University. He is also a Percussion Education Artist with Salyards Percussion and has served as a percussion consultant for multiple middle school and high school band programs throughout the Houston area.
Mr. Simpson resides in Tomball with his fiancée, Emily, and their dog, Lyla. In his free time, he enjoys working out, running, binge-watching television shows, and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Simpson is excited to work with the students and families of Twin Creeks Middle School and looks forward to continuing a tradition of musical excellence while helping students develop confidence, character, and a lifelong love of music.
