Secondary Multilingual Programs Coordinator

Norma Sibrian immigrated to the US and became a first-generation college student in 2001. She obtained a master's in Educational Administration in 2008 from the University of Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in Huntsville, Texas. She has spent over 20 years in K-12 public education and bilingual education. Currently, she is serving as the Secondary Multilingual Programs Coordinator in Spring ISD and is pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership also at SHSU. Her research interest is learning systems of support and practices that equip emergent bilingual students with the tools needed to successfully navigate the US educational system.
