Professional Communications course blends written, oral, and graphic communication in a career-based environment. Students will learn how careers in the global economy require individuals to be creative and have a strong background in computer and technology applications, a strong and solid academic foundation, and a proficiency in professional oral and written communication. Within this context, students will be expected to develop and expand the ability to write, read, edit, speak, listen, apply software applications, manipulate computer graphics, and conduct internet research.

Professional Communications is also a semester-long class that will earn the student a .5 high school credit. Students should be scheduled to take this class in the spring. Any high school credit (s) received are dependent on the student's successful completion, submission, and passing of all assignments and tests. In achieving these goals, students will meet the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards for Career and Technical Education (CTE).

* All assignments are managed through Schoology.
