It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you. My name is Ms. Cooper and I will be teaching 8th grade Career and College Exploration 2/Professional Communications here at Roberson Middle School. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University with my Master of Business Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration. After receiving my degrees, I became profoundly enthusiastic for education so I pursued and received my teaching certificate, Business Education 6 – 12.
I believe that education is an individual, unique experience for every student who enters a classroom. I believe that all children have the ability to learn and the right to quality education. I believe in establishing mutual respect to build a safe interacting learning environment.
My mission as a teacher is threefold:
to promote positive learning;
to spark learner enthusiasm for learning; and
to provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
To accomplish this, I enjoy applying a variety of strategies based on essential educational principles encompassing cognitive functioning, learning theory, diversity issues, instructional planning, and assessment.
In choosing to become a teacher, I have made the commitment to myself and my future students to be the best academic, personal, and ethical role model I can be. My contact information is listed below if you should have any questions.
