Creating a Winning Classroom for Elementary Teachers
Is it time to reset your classroom? This session will provide new and DOI elementary teachers tools and processes to use to ensure that classroom lessons run smoothly without disruptive behavior from students compromising the delivery of instruction.

This 90-minute session is structured after the top selling books, Crucial Conversations and Crucial Accountability by Petterson, Grenny, Mcmillan and Switzler. Participants will learn how to prepare for high-stakes situations; transform anger and hurt feelings into powerful, respectful dialogue; and make it safe to talk about almost anything. Participants will learn tools for resolving violated expectations, broken commitments, overall poor performance and includes misconduct. Participants will also discuss strategies for holding themselves accountable before holding others accountable.

This 2-hour session is based off award winning leadership expert John Maxwell’s book “Leadership Gold” that is designed to discover “26 Golden Nuggets” that address various aspects of leadership, such as developing relationships, nurturing tomorrow’s leaders, and recognizing and responding to “defining moments.” There are application exercises in place to show readers how to put these lessons to practical use.
