Grade 9 Camp

The Grade 9 group spent three exciting and memorable days at the Buffalo Drift Campsite along the Berg river in the first week of February. The main aim of the camp is to improve the relationships between the girls and promote unity as a grade. From the many conversations that have been had since then, it is clear that this aim was achieved. It is wonderful to hear the girls express how they have formed new friendships and learnt a lot about themselves.

The outdoor activities gave the girls an opportunity to learn in a different environment to the usual classroom. The continuous sound of laughter and engagement from the girls was incredible to hear. This group was particularly good at getting stuck into all tasks and activities with 100% effort and enthusiasm.

The time spent playing volleyball, swimming with the fish, perfecting archery, tackling the obstacle course, playing mind games and performing funny skits will be memories that they take with them throughout high school.

The sign of a successful camp is when the girls are sad to come home and begging for a Grade 10 camp next year! This was the case on Friday 7 February and we thank the girls for a wonderful few days away!
