Essential English Language Arts and Math
My name is Andrew Haughawout, and I am an educator and volleyball coach (Springfield Head Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach) who is passionate about helping students grow, learn, and become confident in themselves. I enjoy building strong relationships with students and creating a positive, supportive environment where everyone feels successful.
Outside of school, I am married to my husband, Mark, and we have two daughters. I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, traveling, and, of course, volleyball! I am grateful for the opportunity to work with students and families and look forward to making a positive impact throughout the school year.
I began my teaching career after graduating from Bowling Green State University. I started at Bowling Green City Schools, where I taught 5th and 8th grade. I then moved to Evergreen Local Schools, where I taught 2nd grade for four years.
This will be my second year at Springfield Local Schools. Last year, I taught 3rd grade at Holloway Elementary, and this year I am excited to begin a new chapter as a 6th grade teacher at the middle school.
I am excited to be part of the Springfield Middle School community and look forward to building relationships with students, families, and staff while helping students grow academically and personally. I am especially excited about the opportunity to work with students as they begin this important transition into middle school!
My Life

I have a passion for education, coaching, playing volleyball and helping students and athletes grow.
At home, I’m also a proud pet dad to Chester, our dog, and Indy, our cat. They keep life entertaining and are always excited to welcome me home!
