School Counseling is for everybody!
School Counselors build relationships and attempt to get to know all the students on their caseloads so that we can help them feel safe and connected at school.
Much of our work is confidential, which means that we respect your child’s right to privacy. If there’s something you need to know for your child’s safety, or if your child gives us permission to share information, we’ll contact you.
We are trained School Counselors, and we provide short-term, solution based counseling services. However, we are NOT therapists and do not provide intensive therapeutic services that might be needed in some situations. If your child is struggling with a significant life event that requires more than 1 or 2 meetings, please let your child’s School Counselor know. We are happy to provide you with referrals to therapists, mental health professionals and counseling agencies in our community.
