In order for your school counselor to meet your needs, we need help determining what level your request is at. When you request to see your counselor, you must include what level your request is at.
See below for details about each level within the level system.
What Level is Your Request At?
Level 1: This is something that can wait, such as a question about your schedule, a grade, or a quick question you need to ask your counselor.
Level 2: This is urgent but NOT an emergency. This is something you would like to talk to your counselor about soon, such as feeling nervous, sad, stressed, a conflict, or a family issue.
Level 3: This is an emergency. This includes suicidal thoughts, any statements of harm, cutting, panic attacks, feeling unsafe about going home. If there is a suicide or self-harm report your counselor will contact home about it to ensure your safety.
Now that I understand the Level System, how do I contact my counselor to set up a meeting?
There are a few different ways to access your school counselor.
Use our School Counseling Request Google Form!
Ask your teacher to email/call your counselor to request to meet with them IF you do not have a computer.
Remember: You must include what level your request is at!
3. Talk with your family about seeing your school counselor, have your family email or call your counselor to set up an appointment.
Remember: You must include what level your request is at!
We look forward to hearing from you so that we can support you in your academics, social skills and emotional skills, and career development!
