Snipping Tool (Windows)
Hold Windows, Shift & S together
Then draw a box around the area of your screen you would like to copy
Click the pop-up
Press copy
You can then paste the image, wherever needed
Alternatively, search for Snipping Tool (or Snip & Sketch). in the search bar.
Simple Print Screen (Windows)
Click on the window, of what you want to print screen
(for example, a teacher may want an image, of something you have completed on a website)
Hold down the Alt key (bottom-left)
Press Print Screen (top-right, next to F12)
That has captured an image, in memory... you can then paste this (Ctrl+V) into;
An image editor (such as Paint)
Or straight into a Google Doc, or Slides
Screenshots on a Mac
Press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command and 3
If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, click it to edit the screenshot.
Or wait for the screenshot to be saved to your desktop
HOWEVER...
If you want to capture just a portion of the screen....
Press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command and 4
Drag the crosshair to select the area of the screen to capture.
To move the selection, press and hold Space bar while dragging.
To cancel taking the screenshot, press the Esc (Escape) key.
Screenshots on a Chromebook
Press Shift + Ctrl + Show Windows.
The Show Windows key is the one with a stack of rectangles on it, representing a bunch of windows.
It is usually the 5th or 6th key in the top row, positioned between the Full Screen and Brightness Down keys.
Some keyboards might have the F5 key instead of Show Windows.
Tablet / Smartphone Devices
Instructions vary on other devices, so you may need to read the user manual, or use a search engine
For many Android devices, holding down power + volume down (simultaneously) will capture an image
Apple users may wish to check here
