GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

Each year, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program annually awards numerous recipients, who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship, with a $10,000 scholarship, renewable for up to an additional three years - up to $40,000 total per recipient. Awards are for undergraduate studies and may be used for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

JRF Scholars receive grants of up to $35,000 over four years. KLL Scholarship
$2,000 with opportunity to renew for 4 years. 

Qualifications: To qualify, the recipient needs to meet the following criteria:

1. Lost the life of at least one parent (biological or not) to cancer before the age of 22.

2. Be a US citizen and live in Kansas or Missouri.

3. Attend a 2- or 4-year (minimum) higher education establishment.

4. Have an interest in education, arts, environment, math, or science.

5. Show service involvement in the community, church, school, or other non-curricular activity.

6. Indicate financial need.

7. Submit the completed application, including personal essay and reference.

8. Submit a copy of the parent’s death certificate.

9. Submit a current picture of yourself and a family picture that includes the deceased parent.

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest

The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation invites U.S. high school students to describe and analyze an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917, the year John F. Kennedy was born. The contest is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; US students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program; and US citizens attending schools overseas.  Each student participant must have a “nominating teacher” to review the submission and provide support and advice during the research and writing process. The first-place winner and her/his nominating teacher will be invited to receive awards at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston. A first-place winner receives $10,000, a second-place winner receives $3,000, three finalists receive $1,000 each, and 15 students receive honorable mentions. Amount:  $1,500

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be high school seniors or enrolled as full-time students in college.

Missouri Broadcasters Association Scholarship

MOCPA (Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants) Scholarship Program

Each year, the MOCPA Educational Foundation awards approximately $40,000 in scholarships to students who are majoring in accounting at Missouri universities/colleges. Please encourage any aspiring CPAs you know to apply. High school seniors are given $500 to use toward their accounting education.  

Scholarship Details
Applicants must be: 

• MOCPA college or high school student members, which is free of charge and can be obtained online using the link above;

• Missouri residents and a U.S. citizen (or child of a MOCPA member);

• Enrolled in a community college or university in Missouri (high school seniors enrolled upon graduation); and

• Declared as an accounting major.

Winners are selected based on an evaluation of their personal and academic experiences, and potential of becoming a CPA. Past scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply but must submit a new application.

The United States JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship

Amount: $1,500-$2,000 for college attendance; $1,000 for vocation, technical or trade school attendance

The United States Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation will award $1500 or $2000 scholarship grants to graduating high school seniors who will continue their education at an accredited post-secondary college or university. Scholarships of $1000 will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who will attend an accredited vocational, technical or trade school program.

The number of grants awarded annually is at the discretion of the Foundation and must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study following high school graduation. Checks awarded will be made out in the name of the recipient and will be paid directly to the educational institution of the recipient’s choice.

• This scholarship is available to any current "Graduating senior attending a public or private high school or being homeschooled within Ozark Electric Cooperative's nine-county service area boundary: Barry, Christian, Dade, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, Newton, Polk, or Stone counties. Community Foundation of the Ozarks

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks awards more than $1.6 million in scholarships each year for college, graduate and technical education. They manage more than 400 private scholarship funds created by individuals, families and companies that want to provide a path to higher education for generations to come.  

The window for applying for scholarships is currently open. Please go to cfozarks.org to apply. Once you are on their homepage click on Find Grants and Scholarships. There you will find a section on How to Apply for CFO Scholarships. You will have to create a username and password to establish your account. Some scholarship applications are available online and others you will have to see me to obtain a hard-copy application. Be sure to read the criteria for each scholarship carefully. Please note that a separate application will need to be submitted for each scholarship for which you are applying. Please do NOT use your school email address when completing the login because after you graduate in May your school email will no longer be in service.

Project 21 Scholarship

Award: Project 21 Scholarships will be awarded for 2026 as follows: One $2,500.00 First Prize, and Three $1,500.00 Second Prizes.

The Missouri Gaming Association is announcing the Project 21 2026 Scholarship Program. This will be the twenty-eighth year the scholarship campaign is conducted in Missouri. The goal of this scholarship program is to not only inform our youth that it is not permissible in Missouri for persons under the age of 21 to gamble in a casino, but to also educate them about the dangers and consequences associated with underage gambling.

The Project 21 Underage Gaming Task Force was established by Harrah’s Entertainment in 1989 to address the issue of underage gambling. We strongly believe in the continuation of education and awareness programs such as Project 21 as effective tools in deterring underage gambling.

Project 21 2026 Scholarship Program provides students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling.
