Award amount of $10,000 with five awards available.
Whether through essays or multimedia, students have used their voices to share visions for a better world. Honors Graduation is offering five $10,000 scholarships to put these visions into action. They are asking high school seniors, who will be attending an accredited college or university, to submit a proposal for how they will better their communities.

1. Must be a member of The American Legion Family, i.e., Legion Member, Auxiliary Member,
S.A.L. Member, or a descendant* of any member thereof.
2. Be a resident of the state of Missouri.
3. An unmarried dependent under the age of 21.
4. Must be attending an accredited college / university as a full-time student.
5. Consideration for scholarships will be determined annually for high school graduates in NEED of
financial aid to attend a college / university.
6. Scholarship must be used in the first fall semester of a college / university following graduation from high school.

Space Force, Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States, and having an honorable discharge. A copy of the veteran's discharge or separation notice must be submitted with application. The copy must show the date the veteran entered service and the date the veteran left
service.
2. Be a resident of the state of Missouri.
3. Consideration for scholarship will be determined annually for high school graduates in NEED of
financial aid to attend a college / university.
4. Student must be planning to major in education. A counselor’s statement must be attached. The
counselor’s statement should be on school letterhead, attest to the student’s ability and desire to
major in education or a related field, and must be signed by the school counselor.
5. Scholarship must be used the first fall semester of a college / university following graduation from high school.

copy of the veteran's discharge or separation notice must be submitted with the application. The
copy must show the date the veteran entered service and the date the veteran left service.

4. Shall be an unmarried dependent under the age of 21.
5. Must be attending an accredited college / university as a full-time student.
6. Consideration for scholarship will be determined annually for high school graduates in NEED of

7. Applicant must graduate in the top 40% of his / her class.
8. A counselor's statement must be attached. The statement should be on school letterhead, and attest to
the student’s ability and desire to major in nursing, certify that the student is in the top 40% of their class, and be signed by the school counselor.

Award amount: $3,000
Applicants may apply to only one of OAR’s scholarship programs. Each program offers $3,000 scholarships to students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder pursuing full-time, postsecondary, undergraduate education in the United States during the 2026-27 academic year.
The Schwallie Family Scholarship supports students attending two- or four-year undergraduate colleges. The majority of Schwallie applicants are students attending four-year degree programs. Schwallie applicants attending two-year degree programs are often students who intend to transfer to a four-year program in the future.
The Lisa Higgins Hussman Scholarship supports students attending two-year universities, life skills or postsecondary programs, or vocational, technical, or trade schools. Hussman applicants typically have greater daily support needs and plan to attend programs that assist in skill building, job readiness, and other transition-related skills.
The Synchrony Scholarship for Autistic Students of Color supports students attending any kind of postsecondary institution: four-year undergraduate colleges; two-year undergraduate colleges; life skills or postsecondary programs; or vocational, technical, or trade schools. Applicants must belong to an underrepresented racial/ethnic minority group.
