Christmas Eve Service, December 24, 2025
You are invited to join us for St. Paul's Christmas Eve service. After all the rushing and planning for Christmas, take a moment to relax and reflect on the true meaning of the season. Please join us for a beautiful Service of Lessons and Carols that will tell the wonderful Christmas story. Our guest pastor will be Rev. Cynthia Baxter. The service will be held on December 24 beginning with a special musical prelude at 6:00 pm. The service itself will begin at 6:30 pm at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Utica, 10621 Old Frederick Road, Thurmont, MD. Our church dates back to 1769 and has a warm, inviting atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. We would love to welcome you and share in this special Christmas tradition.

DIRECTIONS TO OUR CHURCH BUILDING from Frederick: North on US 15 from Frederick for about 5 miles, bear right on Old Frederick Road, go 1.5 miles, the Church is on your right (parking on both sides of the road).
DIRECTIONS TO THE CHURCH'S PICNIC WOODS (7515 Lewistown Rd, Thurmont, MD. 21788) from Utica: Proceed northbound on Old Frederick Rd. for 1 mile, turn left onto Lewistown Rd, and proceed 1 1/2 miles. The gate to the Picnic Woods is on the left. NOTE: From US 15 North, you may turn right on Hessong Bridge Rd., go 1.5 miles, and turn right on Lewistown Rd. The gate is located on your right after crossing Fishing Creek.
