The City of Blanco is committed to maintaining a safe, reliable, and sustainable water system for current and future residents. To help fund these improvements, the City is pursuing financial assistance through the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB).
TWDB funding helps communities complete critical water and wastewater projects by providing low-interest financing and, when available, principal forgiveness through state and federal programs.

These improvements are being designed and managed as part of a single TWDB-funded program.
The TWDB program will help the City:
Replace aging water mains
Improve system reliability
Reduce water leaks and breaks
Improve water service to customers
Lower long-term maintenance costs
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) is the state's water planning and financing agency. Through programs such as the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF), TWDB helps communities invest in critical water infrastructure while reducing the cost of financing.
