KS4 GCSE Art and Design

At Key Stage 4 students will follow the Persons Edexcel Specification and will select to specialise in a focused area, either Fine Art, Textile Design or Photography. Students will learn a range of skills, techniques and processes, which will allow them to develop and create a portfolio of work with themes ranging from Natural and/or Manmade Structures to Fragments, and Event's.

Students opt their GCSE choices in year 9 and can choose one of three (four including thee dimensional design) disciplines on offer following Pearson's Edexcel Specification. We have a large take up every year at GCSE, with many of our students continuing onto A Level or level 3 courses.

Students have the option to study GCE A Level following the Pearson’s Edexcel Specification with success, with many of our students progressing onto UCA Epsom to complete Foundations, and onto degrees in various subjects including Animation, Visual/Graphic Communication and Fashion Buying.
