The content to be learned in CADD II will include:
Sectional, auxiliary and rotational view drawings.
Visualize and understand the 3-D features of objects with complex geometry.
Expand on skills learned in CADD I.
We will learn and use Onshape.
Each student will study Computer Aided Drafting & Design. Upon completion of this course students will be proficient in the following areas:
Understand the importance of mechanical drawing as a universal a tool to express ideas clearly.
Understand the broad range of career opportunities requiring mechanical drawing knowledge.
Review minimum proficiencies from CADD I to include but not limited to: orthographic views, single views, use of layers and filters, geometric construction and the creation of title block in paper space.
Know how to produce auxiliary views in orthographic projection.
Understand and produce sectional views to include full and half sections, offset sections and removed sections.
Have a working knowledge of how to control and use construction planes as a requirement for creating solid objects in CAD; know the necessary commands to edit and manipulate objects in 3-D space.
Produce and plot two-dimensional drawings on appropriate title block.
