The content to be learned in Architecture will include
Know the common electrical, plumbing and heating symbols used in residential architectural drawings and their application.
Understand and be able to produce the following drawings for a residential structure:
Full detail floor plans
Foundation plans
Elevations
Full or half detail sectionals.
Know how to plot drawings for presentation.
Each student will study architecture. Upon completion of this course students will be proficient in the following areas:
Understand the importance of mechanical drawing as a universal a tool to express ideas clearly irreverent of language or culture.
Review minimum proficiencies from previous CADD courses to include but not limited to: use of layers and their variables, different forms of sectional views, user coordinate system, application of external reference and block files.
Know the common electrical, plumbing and heating symbols used in residential architectural drawings and their application.
Understand and be able to produce full detail floor plans for a residential structure.
Understand and be able to produce foundation plans for a residential structure.
Understand and be able to produce the required elevations for a residential structure.
Understand and be able to produce full or half detail sectionals for a residential structure.
Know how to plot drawings for presentation.
