My name is Maggie Schneider (Speirs) and I taught ELA for 8 years before taking on a new subject: Family Consumer Science (FACS). I'm extremely excited for a new challenge and have always had a passion for the FACS field. I will be teaching Foods I & II as well as Child Development I & II.
I grew up in Spearfish and am a proud graduate of Spearfish High School. I attended SDSU where I received my degrees in Communication Studies and Secondary Education. I met my husband, Nate, our freshman year and we got married right after graduation. We have three vivacious children: Viva June, Jack Waylon, and Stetson John. As a family, we love spending time in the mountains, hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. I also have a love for making nutritious meals for my family and am excited for that passion to carry over to my teaching career.
